Australian-made lubricant manufacturer, Penrite Oil, has increased their partnership with Erebus Motorsport, backing the #36 SLS AMG GT3 at the Bathurst 12 Hour this weekend.
The #36 car, which will be driven by David Reynolds, Thomas Jaeger, and Nico Bastian, and will also feature partners Skye Sands and Snap-On Tools, will be an extension of the partnership with the team which includes major naming rights sponsorship of the #9 Erebus Motorsport Supercar.
Penrite Oil General Manager Toby Dymond sees the benefits of increasing the relationship to include the endurance event at the iconic 6.2km Mount Panorama Circuit.
“There are clear benefits of utilising our 10 Tenths range of products in an endurance event like the Bathurst 12 Hour,” said Dymond.
“The data we collect throughout the weekend from the car will assist with developing our range, which is part of the reason we have partnered with Erebus Motorsport.
“Given the event’s large global audience, and Erebus Motorsport’s past results – with a win in 2013 and two recent podiums – we saw the relationship as beneficial to our brand and to the development of our products.”
Erebus Motorsport GT Team Principal Daniel Klimenko is excited by the opportunity provided by the technical partnership with Penrite Oil.
“In addition to the many benefits of having relationships with performance-based partners, Penrite Oil is a fantastic Australian company,” said Klimenko.
“This is an important event for all involved – we are representing AMG as well as many other credible brands.
“Working with Penrite Oil gives our team the confidence we need to endure 12 hours of high performance racing.”
