Tyson Harvey has race proven talent and is one to watch for in the near future.
Tyson began his racing career at the age of 10 in Go Karting and within a short period of time stepped onto the podium for the first time, eventually becoming a leader in the Junior rankings in SA and winning multiple events and title races throughout Australia. With over 400 race starts, highlights were the winning of the City of Whyalla Titles, placing 2nd for the North Western Victorian Titles and the securing of the Number 2 plate for Rookies and Junior National Lights for a 3 year period.
At the age of 14 Tyson progressed to CAMS Circuit Excel, Class 3E, and taught himself to drive a race car at a race track within a State Championship event, progressing throughout the field at his first attempt. Through his determination and incredible focus Tyson has fine-tuned his driving abilities and race craft to see him recognised by his peers as a serious contender.
2017 has seen Tyson already pressuring the top 3 within Circuit Excel, and spending hours in the race seat to prepare for his co-drive in the Bathurst 6 hour event held over Easter. This drive will see Tyson as the youngest ever driver to race at Mount Panorama, (16 years 1 day), an accolade which is testament to his passion and ability at such a young age.
Tyson continues to develop his race driving abilities and is focussed on the next progression with his motorsport career and through the incredible support of Penrite Oil and his sponsors, has his sights set on one day soon competing within a National Series / Class and achieving his goal of becoming a Professional race driver.
